Acceptance of donations is at the discretion of Thrifty Shop staff, if we determine that an item is not marketable in our stores then we may refuse to accept the item at that time. Thank you.

If you have an especially nice item that we typically do not accept and you would like us to take a look, email photos to info@vailvalleycares.com as we do make limited exceptions.

What Happens to Items That Cannot Be Sold?
We attempt to use every item donated to us before moving it to another organization or ministry that can use it. We do not employ handy workers who can fix broken items and ask that if your items are not in working condition to please dispose of them yourself.
Reuse & Recycle
We make every effort to reuse items that come through the door. We believe that keeping items in use as long as possible is the responsible approach for the environment.

Dispose Properly
Unfortunately, some items just aren’t usable anymore. Items that are in condition too poor to reuse or pass along are disposed of properly.
