Vail Valley Cares Thrifty Shops is an ecumenical Christian help organization dedicated to sharing the love of God by meeting people’s needs.
Every item donated, every purchase made, and every dollar earned through Vail Valley Cares fuels essential support for the people and programs in our Valley. By keeping goods in circulation and turning donations into grants and scholarships, we reduce waste, strengthen local nonprofits, and help our community thrive.

Through our Thrifty Shops storefronts, we advocate for reuse, reducing waste, supporting locals, and funding essential programs all in effort to build a more resilient, connected, and circular community.

Our History
1995
After only a few months, the store was financially independent and was looking for ways to help people in need. A store in Eagle was also opened.
